Mum's the Word

What a lovely Mother's Day I had and I hope those of you who are mums had a special time with your kids also. For me, Mother's Day is not a time for commercialism but for appreciating family time-time spent with our own mums, remembering mothers who are no longer with us and having special 'mummy time' with our wee ones. As we had been to a formal the night before, I was happy to have a day with no plans but was delighted to waken up to discover that Robbie-with a little help-had made a real effort for his mum!

We decided to have breakfast out in one of our favourite Sunday morning spots Cafe Brazilia and as it was such a bright, sunny morning we strolled along the marina to blow the cobwebs away and it was warm enough to wear my latest bargain purchase-another jacket from my local charity shop-a snip at £5.00!  I also picked up my handbag for £5.00-and I had only nipped in to leave off a bag of unwanted clothes but that's typical of me!

And what better way to round off brunch than with a coffee, cookie and fashion pages of Style magazine?

It's just a quick post today as I wanted to send all my lovely mummy friends belated Mother's Day wishes. I'm still working on my birthday parties post but in the meantime I need some inspirational ideas for what to wear for my trip to London next week to attend the Into Film Awards Ceremony so I'd love to hear your suggestions.
